Default RE: Lets talk eng codes, service engine and Anti-Lock light

Success, my Anti-lock light is now off.

After searching on D-web this morning, I realized that only pre OBDII Disco's had the blue 4-pin connector. All OBDII Disco I's you have to jump terminals 5 and 15 on the data link connector. The data link connector is where you would plug in your scanner to read engine codes.

Anyways, I jumped terminals 5 and 15 with a paper clip, and with the ignition in the on position I readthe blink codes. One code was for the stop light switch and the others were for internal voltage supply.

The stop light switch I repaired few months ago and the internal supply voltage code was due to the pump hanress plug being slightly unpluged.

If you removethe paper clip while reading the code, it will erase that code. So that's what I did, read and erase each code, one at a time.Took for a test drive, light went out, all is well.

Now it's in the archives.
