Default Lift = New Noise.

Just recently lifted my '02 Disco 3.5" with an approx. 32.5" tire size. Other than being a little more squirrely on the highway, which I'm guessing is due to the change in my front caster angle, I now have a clicking noise plus vibration upon acceleration and at speeds up to about 45-50 mph. Just rebuilt the front propshaft,including centering ball,(Thanks Mike ), last summer, and recently converted the rear propshaft to a u-joint style shaft with new u-joints also. Could it be my cv joints, or is my front propshaft not able to handle the new pinion angle and thus making all the racket??? Any ideas guys? Cheers!

Check your front dive shaft again.

It's a solid front axle so the cv's don't change during the lift. I agree with checking the driveshaft.

Matt, need more specific information, exactly what lift did you install, OMR, RTE or T.F and what coils by number if you have them? Also what tire size are you running?
I am holding off on replying with this information but, yes it could still be a U-Joint, how often do you lube them?

Hey Mike, my coils are the yellow heavy duty 1.6" springs from AB. Not sure who makes them, I think the box said Britparts, ran these for a few months until I bought 265-70-18 Nitto Terra Grapplers, and realized I needed a bit more lift so I installed billet alluminum 1.5" coil spacers from Toddco, and extended Procomp shocks. This is when the noise and vibration became most noticeable. I replaced the rear propshaft at this point, but still no relief. I have lubed the u joints on a bi-monthly bases since rebuilding the front shaft last year, but I truly suspect it as the culprit, though I value your opinion. Thanks again,

...on a side note, any recommendations for front caster correction and a good double-cardan front shaft?
I know Tom Woods does nice work, but a little pricey.

The noise could be from the spacers or the cheap Pro-comp shock, I have heard others complain of them being noisy.
Has your front shaft been rebuilt and you think you need something heavier or what? Yes Bill makes one of the most heavy duty front shafts out there and they are worth every penny when compared to the rest of the market. How about just rebuilding your own, not that hard and pretty cheap?

Your driveline angles are off by to much, you are stressing the u-joints to much.
3" is the max you can go without any other mods, you now need more mods.
