I just bought the TerraFirma 2" kit with springs. Right now I have the Treadwright 245/75R16 WARDEN A/T (E) - Which have been great tires for a stock suspension. Any suggestions on a good match for new tires after the lift?

I'm looking at Mud Claw Radial M/Ts in a 265/75r16. They're pretty agressive, 10 ply, an they're going to cost me about 147 each mounted.

 

I have the goodyear duratracs. I love them. But they are a bit pricey. Also 10 ply tires and have an E load rating. I like them because they aren't very noisy at highway speeds, but have a great aggressive tread for anything off-road. I've used mine in mud, snow, gravel, sand, and just plain dirt. Handles great in everything

 

Cooper ATP or AT3 (depending on your store). Great tire for the $$. Make sure you get the "load range" light truck tire vs. the weak-side walled (but cheaper) Passenger tire.


I loved mine so much they went on my suburban and I'm going to put a set on my 2500HD.


265/75/16 is a great tire size with the 2" lift. Just remember, you will have to turn your spare tire housing around or the full-size spare won't fit!

 

This is my wife's set up. OME 2" lift, Terra Firma Shock towers, and 265/70/16 Michelin A/T tires. Tires are super quiet on road and have great off road traction. The only gripe is that the treads are so tight(hence the no road noise) they get small rocks stuck in them. Other than that, love the set up.

I have also tried Cooper ATP and Michelin, but i'm currently using Nitto Terra Grapplers. Good tires too.

 

Thanks! From her I guess. Problem is, she gets all the good stuff. My cars get fixed up and sold or the best parts go on my daughter and wife's car. I really think white is the best color.

 

Did you have to modify the wheel wells at all with the 265/75/16s? Any rubbing issues?
