Default Lift and Tire sugestions

I just got a 98 Disco that is in really nice shape. I am looking to put some more agressive looking and sized tires and possibly fit a lift to the Disco. I was wondering if anyone would point me in the right direction to source the parts and also if anyone has had good experience with slightly oversized tires (ie brand/size). Im not going for the mud bogger look just want to make the disco look a little tougher so i think around a 2" lift should suffice.
Thanks

Rob

im in the same boat you're in, my friend. i thikn ill go with a 2" kit, a la Rovertym Engineering they also have a 3" and 5" (yes 5 inches) lift, also a 2" body lift. although, Emu springs (pretty much any Rover site carries them) are suposed to be pretty schwing, im still not quite decided. as for tires, im not quite sure yet. i was going to get that figured out after i've got my truck sitting a little higher. however i think i should at least be able to fit 30s without problems.

Might be worth your while also visiting this website, http://www.scorpionracing.co.uk/

I know it is a UK website, but they show the kits that they do and all the bits, so will give a good idea of what you will need to source, and you never know it maybe as cheap to order the stuff from them direct.

With regard to the size of the wheels, you may have to modify the wheel arches, this is done a lot over in iceland...

I have tried Old man emu suspensions on Grand cherokee, Cherokee, Wranglers, a 98 discovery and let me tell you that they really know their business. They actually have separete springs and shocks depending on winches, bullbars or other aditional weight that you might be thinking about putting on the Disco. For the Dicovery I they have 3 sets of different kits for the front and 3 for the rear and the height gaines are from .75" to 1.5" in the front and from 1.5" to 2" for the rear.

Hope this helps.
