light connectors
I replaced the bulb in my head light. I looked down and noticed an extra connector not being used. I wonder if that is for front fogs and connected to the fog light switch, or routed to the main head lights. Does any one know??
You don't provide much information (model and year, etc), but on my 97 disco there was a pigtail for the optional fog lights. This is wired to the low-beam headlight circuit, , so you can turn on the fog lights, (already pre-wired, just need dash switch also), and then you can turn them on with your headlights, and when you turn on high-beams, it automatically turns off the fog lights, dim your lights, fogs come back on. . .
If it's a white two wire plug it'll be for your fog lights. However if your D2 did not come from the factory with them you will need some relays, and it has to be enabled thru a T4 or maybe a Hawkeye.
I'm dying to buy a Hawkeye myself, but no one can clarify if it's for one type of LR say a D2 vs a LR3, or is it one VIN #. If it's for one type of LR say a D2 and I can use it on my multiple LR's that's perfect, but if it's for one VIN # that sucks.... Also I'd like to know/verify exactly what it can program as far as SLS ON/OFF, Fog lights, program keys, and how the door locks function.

Well....I discovered that I have "rear" foglights. Why......would a manufacturer install "rear" foglights, when I need em up front??? I'll check the connector color, btw.
