Default Limp Mode, M and S light flashing...different

I know this topic has been covered, but none of the threads I read covered the codes my 2003 Discovery is throwing. I had the M and S light come on and the check engine light followed shortly. I took the rover to an auto zone and the codes read:
PO743
PO753
PO758

I came home and checked the rave cd and apparently those codes are solenoid codes;
MV1 & MV2 (shift control solenoids), MV3 (lockup solenoid).

I took my Rover to an independent shop that someone referred and after multiple days they said I am dealing with a transmission problem and am in need of a new transmission. I only have 80,000 miles on my Rover and that seems rediculously early to need a new transmission. I took my Rover back and it is currently sitting in the driveway with the M and S light still flashing.

Further, I had the battery charge checked and it was at 13.5 volts which according to other post is enough juice for the transmission to work properly.

I guess what I am wondering is if those codes (above) are codes that do indeed indicate that I need a new transmission.

Any help is appreciated.

Whoever said you need a new transmission is an idiot.

This is a general question: Is the transmission control module still under the passenger side seat in the DII's?

When was your tranny last serviced? You don't need a new one, you "DO" need to take it to a tranny shop and have the test and estimate the actual problem and costs involved.
