It is called SLS (self leveling suspension)
What is going on could be any number of things, from a air leak to bad height sensors to a bad air compressor.

One way to look for leaks is to mix up some soapy water, in a spray bottle, and spray on suspected areas. Just like a leaky tire or tire valve, the bubbles will expand at the leak spot. Wear eye protection, gunk can dislodge and fall off. When it gets in your eyes, flinching can cause you to hit your head on the truck. You won't hurt the truck, but you can end up with a nasty gash, plus gunk in your eyes.

When it drops, do both sides go down equally, how many miles on the truck?
