I’m locked out of my discovery and the key fob doesn’t unlock the car. I put new batteries in the fob and it lights up when pressed. I got the hood open and jumped the battery but the fob still won’t unlock it. The drivers door lock must be broken cause there is no resistance when trying to unlock it with the key. The doors must also be super locked. I had a lock smith come out and the lock just falls back into lock after he got the latch up. I need ideals on how to get into the car. Thought about breaking the window but the red anti-theft light is on the dash and I still won’t be able to start it. Also I can’t used the factory code to reset the anti theft due to the drivers door lock being broken. Help!!!

 

Inflatable door pry and a long pole. Use the pole to press the unlock button on the dash.
The linkage between the key lock and the mechanism is a known weak point. That's why Carrs4x4 sells an improved replacement version.
