Ok so here is my Discovery II dilema:

Like many, I have the 3 Amigos, but it seems like I still have had TC and ABS (no HDC at all), even with the three lights on (last night I tried checking it out, but didn't happen to have 3 Amigos on when I had some slippage in the mud). Is it likely that I'd still have TC and ABS even with HDC out? And if it is so, would I possibly have a relatively inexpensive fix on my hands?

I need to get the CDL linkage anyway (I have a 99 Disco 2), but I'm trying to decide between going straight to lockers (probably Trutrac and and Detroit) vs. attempting to ensure I have TC, whichever is less expensive. I read on here all the time that with CDL the TC really does quite well, but that's of no use to me if I can't count on TC all of the time, right?

 

First, fix the 3 amigo issue, cause you have no traction control. Second, install the CDL shifter other wise you can not use a locker with out destroying your 3rd. member.
