can somone tell me what year range i need to look at for a locking transfer case for my 02 disco.

 

I've heard all '00 and '01 have locking cdl, and I've heard inclusion of locking cdl switched over midway through '01. The 2000 and 2001 had the locking internals, but not the linkage. 2004 has both. Mine is an 05/01 build, and has the locking transfer case, but no linkage.

99-01.5, or 04. I have an 02 as well and got a 99 D2 version.

 

My 01 has it...need to slide under the truck to lock it, but it is there.

 

All 1999 DII's have it without the linkage present. All 2000 DII's have it, without the linkage present. Only early 2001 models have it, none of which have the linkage present. All 2004 DII's have it WITH the linkage present. If dealing with a '99 make sure it's a DII. They made DI's and DII's that year.
