Hi All, I'm new to this forum but looked at a Disco today possible year 96/97 Fxi (owner was not sure) and wanted to know if there is anything that I should be aware of for this model year. from a maintance issue and any known proplems that has arised in the last 10years. Its got 165k on it body and interior in good shape, the owner told me about 1year ago the head gasket went and it has been machined and fixed, all motors in the 4 windows were replaced. (said something to the affect that it was poor design for that year) the a/c fan speed sloder sometimes sticks as the brass contacts sometimes short, but with a little toggle it works fine. The Disco is located in Dubai and will be used by my wife for dropping kids off to school/groceries. it will not be a daily driver. may now entertain the odd offroad trip in the dessert. Any help greatly appreciated.
