Your correct Spike and there is no comparison between Land Rovers and Jeeps and none meant by posting these pics. Sorry if that is how it seemed it was not what i was trying to suggest. I just wanted to sing the praises of Tom Woods Drive shafts who are a little more expensive than some places but have provided me personalty with some very good service and an overbuilt product a number of times.

As you can see my TJ is built with one goal in mind, go anywhere. The issue with that is it noisy, heavy, uncomfortable, not relaxing or easy to drive on the highway, the steering geometry is far from perfect, the AC is 2x40 (2 windows down at 40 mph), its constantly full of dust and even with a 5 speed and a 4:1 transfer box the gear raitos are always a compromise between getting there and then doing the trial. The fact it has grown into this single use vehicle and all the reasons above is why i REALLY want a land rover. I think my jeep is the perfect balanced rocker crawler and Land Rovers got it right as perfect balance expedition rig.

There are lots of good drive line shops out there, Tom woods just happens to be one i have personal experience with.

I'm pretty sure a 15 year old Disco would have peeled apart a heck of a lot faster than that guy's Jeep did.

And I'm pretty sure I could have bought two dang good running '99 or '00 Cherokees for what I've put into my 04 Disco, and the Jeeps wouldn't have complained so much.... lol!

Default Hooked one!

First, mad props on the rock crawling Dave. I have been to a couple events (NEUROC) and still can't believe it.

Anyway...I hooked me a Disco!

Details after I actually get it home. Incredible deal on a nice one. heh heh...
