Dude, go to my guy in Dumont. http://www.roverspecialist.com/.
One of the fairest guys out there. He only wrenches Land Rovers. Used to work for the man back in the day, but now is doing his own thing. He has saved me a lot of cash. He's 30 minutes from where I live, but it's well worth it.

If you are familiar with the area around Shea Stadium in Queens, there are a line of auto repair shops just east of the stadium. I was just there last weekend and had my two rear air springs replaced for $100 total on my 2000 Discovery. I bought the parts off ebay for $318. My LR dealer in Massapequa wanted $700 for each side for a total of $1400. If you need brake pads installed, these guys usually charge about $40 for either the front or back pair ( bring your own pads ).
