Default looking for a vendor that has plugs for secondary air ports

I found a 4.6 from an 04 to replace the blown motor in my 02. Where do I buy the plugs for the secondary air injection?

The heads are different, plugs won't help so go start looking again.

I realize the heads are different, they have holes in them for the secondary air. I ordered a motor without sai but of course they sent one with sai. All I need to do is put a bolt in the hole for the sai and its the same as the regular head right?

See if the person you got it from will send you the port pipes and just weld them shut.. Not sure on the size of the plugs. Also not sure what is so different about the heads that you can't use them. I know of a couple of people that have dropped 4.6's in their D1's and just plugged the ports.

PS, I am pretty sure all D2 4.6's are SAI.

Thanks I've got the port pipes and am going to either weld them or tap the ports for a bolt to put in them. Apparently plugging the ports is common like you mentioned. Thx

Have you tried pipe plugs, or going to NAPA with the port pipes and seeing if they can match it up? With my old junk I would take a pair of vice grips and crimp the hose over itself. That would work most of the time (also very easy) but looks like crap.

I believe the internal ports and combustion chamber are also different.

I bought a tap set and drilled out the ports to run a m10x1.5 tap through and some m10 bolts with a large flange to plug it up with a little red lock tite. Worked perfectly, but I have yet to install the motor and see how it runs.

I looked all over the service manual and couldn't find where it says to do that so I have to assume it's impossible.

Did you use anything on the threads to make sure they won't leak or rust up? I think antisieze should work without burning off. Good job!
