loose battery terminal
I'm sorry I guess I worded that wrong. I am talking about the "ground" midway back on the cable. It is grounded at the end of the cable I was just wondering about that one bolt holding it to the frame. I know what would happen if you didn't have anything connected but I was wondering if there is an easy way to relocate it so I can make the cable extend farther without having to get new cables. See my pic. Im pointing to it.
The ground basically goes to two places, the frame and the engine. The reason is that the power train (engine, transmission, differentials, are pretty much isolated from the chassis by rubber mounts (non conductive), since both, the engine, and the chassis got electrical things connected to them, both need ground. So, yes, you can relocate that bolt, or extend that piece of the cable, but you need to attach it anywhere on the frame and the engine.
Get a good milspec terminal (get a negative one obviously)

Cut off the terminal you have and fit a ring connector. That should give you enough reach to connect to the new terminal.
