Default Loose plug, thought it was wheel sensor but??

Have this connector on passenger side that is unplugged and can't find its mate. There's one on the drivers side that I thought was for the wheels sensor on that side but the wire for the passenger side wheel sensor goes strait through the firewall. What gives?

Pics won't upload, it's a round white connector with 2 pins sticking out. Clips to the inner fender

Replacement sensors eliminate the plug and go all the way to the ABS computer (Wabco) and are soldered right to the pins.

Interesting. Is this normally done by a land rover mechanic? The abs computer is the one above the glove box correct? The more I tear into this disco the more traces of old work im finding and also traces of shoddy work, (not that this is shoddy work)

Land Rover was doing because of what they thought was problems with the connection plug I believe. They called it an over lay harness.
I think the real fix for the problems with the updated programming in the 04 abs computer. This appears to have done the most to stop the false ABS faults and better traction control.
Swapping to the later 04 computer is a popular upgrade.

Oh LATE '04? So that could exclude 2004 models build in '03 and early '04?

I believe the over lay harness was only a repair part.
The plugs were still used in production.
