Default Loose steering

03' disco has some decent play in the steering. The steering wheel also shakes sometimes and the car pulls in no set direction, randomly. What could it be?

Ill reply, but bear in mind I know Almost Nothing about Disco's myself Yet. Loose steering could mean a worn steering box which Could possibly be adjusted or bad tie rods. A steering shake would make me look at wheels out of balance or bad ball joints (worst case bad bearings- unlikely). Random pulling could be loose tie rod ends, Maybe a stuck steering damper(?- not even sure whats all under these yet), bad ball joints, sticky brake caliper (but they usually stay stuck)..... Hope this helps some, good luck.
