Take proof of ownership by your dealer, they will cut you one, but it will cost you.

They will need your VIN, and you may have to have it towed in to dis-able your alarm and program the new remote...call them and find out.

Sucks...sorry

Write down your VIN# and go to the dealer. They can cut you a key that will open the door. Then you can get proof if you need it. But you will probaly have to have it towed. Once inside you can check in the owners manual to see what the sequence is to by-pass the coded key.
You have to turn on the key, press the gas a # of times and tuen the key off and so on. All cars with a coded key have such a by-pass. It is usually a one time at a time deal. If you turn the car off you have to do it all over again. So once inside check the book.
Get three keys made. One for you, your wife and a spare that only opens the door. Have that onezip tied to the frame (and out of sight) so that if you lock yourself out you can still get in.
One of the things that I miss about my Infiniti is the "credit card key". It is a door only key that fits into your wallet. It is in a credit card sized holder and just pops out when needed and then be put back when done.
It was nice, I could start my car in the winter and then lock it with the engine running.
Good luck.

Are you saying you keep the TITLE in the car?! If you don't have the title, you should be able to get a replacement from the bank or DMV.
