Default lotsa questions!

This is my first purchase of a land rover 1999 discovery. 258000km on the vhehicle and it runs and drives really nice.

i dont know how the rear suspension works, it does work, but is it pneumatic? or hydraulic? I have a leaky linenear the rear of the truck, and the resevoir that is low is in the same resevoir as the power steering fluid. What fluids does it take? I see nothing in the manual that tells me.

I'm a bug time newbie here, sorry for the inexperience! I am used to working on VW and north american cars. Any input would be greatly appreciatedas I have to safety check the vehicle before it hits the road.

Also ABS light, and a truck going downhill with a line undre it? and one other lihgt is on.

lets start one by one:

"i dont know how the rear suspension works, it does work, but is it pneumatic? or hydraulic?" it could be pneumatic or coil, climb under and take a look, the reason I say that is a lot of pneumatic systems were changed over to coils.

"I have a leaky linenear the rear of the truck, and the resevoir that is low is in the same resevoir as the power steering fluid." I can't desifer was you are trying to ask.

"What fluids does it take?" once again what fluid are you refering too.

"Also ABS light, and a truck going downhill with a line undre it? and one other lihgt is on." Those lights are refered to as "the three amigo's" do a search you will find hundreds of posts. basically it is telling you that there is a brake issue, you will need to find out what code number are stored in the memory in order for someone to help.
But if you do a search you will find a lot of imformation on them and how to read the codes.

The leaky line near the back of the truck.... might be ACE... does your power steering reservoir have two caps?

Use regular power steering fluid in both the power steering and ACE systems.

The only stupid question is the one not asked, so ask away, but start new threads when you have new questions please.
