Default Loud popping noise while offroading

I just put new tires on so of course I had to go test them offroad. I was going up a hill with a hump on one side of the trail. The axles were articulated in oposite directions to the maximum that the stock suspension would allow. With the CDL locked I heard a loud metallic popping sound so I backed down the hill. Has anyone else heard this noise? Could it be the sway bar end links binding? I drove ithome with no problems or noises.

Thank you,
Willie

Start with retorquing your possibly loose wheel lug nuts.

Was it a spring re-seating?

I checked the lug nuts today. Some were alot looser then I would tighten them. They were not tourqed evenly. The sound I heard offroading sounded just like the creeking sound when I tightened the lug nuts. I hope thats all it was. Thanks for your help.

Always make sure that whoever removes your tires retorques the wheels to 100 to 110 foot pounds with a torque wrench not an impact wrench and make sure they use a 1 1/16 th. 6 point socket so they don't ruin your lug nuts.
If you find the noise is still there, get back to us.
