Loud Ticking and Oil Light on
To be honest, im not sure now. I will look for my paper work for the milage. I think it was in the mid 40's... I am trying to think based on oil changes...lol

DiscOK-To answer your question, on LR's the oil pump is part of the front cover. The front cover also houses the timing gear set.
The defect is with the engine block, the front cover attaches to the engine block and because of the defect with the engine it wears out the front cover which in turn wears out the oil pump. If you replace the oil pump and front cover in 57k you will be in this same boat that you are now.
When the pump fails it starves the engine of oil and everything runs dry and the engine grinds itself apart.
