LR Fuel Additive, Good idea?
You can use them Every fill up.. It just becomes costly..
It all depends on how OCD you are
I use something about ever 3rd fill up. maybe 4th.
I like keeping my engine super clean inside. no carb.
But I only drive on weekends so it takes a while.

The quality of gas that you use makes a huge difference. Cheap gas and you'll need to use injector cleaner more often, quality gas and than you can use it less often.
I use Shell gas most of the time and a bottle of injector cleaner once every oil change (5,000 miles)
Stay away from discount gas and low volume gas stations.
The discount gas doesnt have the additives that good gas does and the low volume gas stations sell, well, stale gas.

How's the gas from Costco or Sams Club?

Shell for example, puts extra additives into their gas to help keep your fuel system clean, discount gas stations buy whatever gas is left on the truck.
My wife used to manage a gas station in Traverse City, here is how it works...Shell needs gas, their distributor brings them Shell gas, he has gas left over on the truck. His boss calls around to see who else needs gas.
Joes's Crab Shack and Discount Gas has room in his tank for 3,000 gals, the tanker truck has 2,000 gals left. Dispatch says go to Joes and unload. So Joe gets Shell gas, this time.
Next time Joe needs gas he has to buy it directly from the distribitor because nobody else has any left on the tanker truck. He wants cheap. So he gets cheap. No additives.
Costcojust wants cheap, so they order cheap and cheap is what they get, after all, their customers just want to save money.
If you compare the price per gal of discount gas to good gas the price difference is only a penny or two, so spend the extra $.40 and get good gas and save yourself a big headache later.
My truck runs best on Shell, it also likes BP and Mobil, Marathon isint bad, but it does not like Speedway, Admrial or any of the other discount gas.
Anyone know about Citgo gas? I had to put in truck this past weekend because I was on the turnpike and it is the only station out here on the turnpikes.
I couldn't seem to find out any information about whether the gas is quality gas.
