i worked in a couple of citgo refineries... one in lake charles louisiana and one in lemont illinois... for a long time they were processing what is called "sour crude" which is like a dirty hard to refine oil... after the recent hurricanes down here though and the messed up offshore industry the government authorized them to begin processing some of the stored crude... its all considered "sweet crude"... much easier to refine and gives a much better end product... so for now citgo gas is pretty good... once they go back to sour crude it will be the old gas they used to make...

So I added Chervon TC and filled the tank with Shell 93. I drove 300+ highway miles and noticed that I lost about 2 MPG. Is this possible?

Was the wind blowing? Window down? Use the cruise control? Extra weight in the truck?
I get my best MPG using Shell.

I was a little windy. Windows closed, cruise at 70-75, empty truck.

i try to keep my speeds around the posted limits and i never use cruise. it gives the best mileage results,,,

but if it was windy you might notice a difference.

I ALWAYS use the cruise, never drive faster than 65. Speed limit is 25 I set the cruise at 30.
Now when I am working that is a whole other story.
