Hey guys silly question but whenever I go to lock the door, that locks but the horn goes off and the interior light stays on. I checked all he doors and they are closed. Any ideas on what I need to look at?

Sorry for the basic question but couldn't find anything on this.

Thanks

Bad door switch or wire on back broken. Also disconnect hood switch.

That means you left a door not completely closed.
Slam all the doors until the body and door surface is flush.

Jfall, I checked all the doors multiple times and they are all closed and flush.

Savannah, where is the wire in the back located and I will check the hood switch

Thanks!

I think Savannah means the wire on the back of each door switch which would be in the metal door frame at the opposite end of door switch that you can seen in each door frame. FYI, hood switch is on the right when looking in the engine bay between the air filter and the fender edge where the hood comes down on the lip. Wire pushes on from the bottom.

Door Switch pics - wire pushes on to connector on the back of the switch and can come loose, break, corrode, etc. or switch/plunger can go bad.

When this happened to me, it ended up being my ignition. Essentially the ignition still thought the key was in and I had to mess around with it until it snapped into place. I literally just wiggled the key around a bit and it was fine.
