So I would skip your seemingly unhelpful middle man and deal with State Farm directly.
My uneducated guess right now is to aim for $4500 due to your aftermarket stuff installed. Provide insurance with prices of all those doodads and what they cost to replace....and buy it back for $800. Strip the accessories and stuff you want and let someone drag the carcass off. It doesn't look worth the time to fix in my head.

Years ago, i had someone sideswipe my 93 f250. It scratched the two tone paint and barely bent the lower plate edge corner of my ranchhand bumper. Repaint on the undamaged sheetmetal and a $2000 bumper before two techs installing it came in above the current worth of the vehicle. They gave me a check for 3600 (4400 minus 800 buy back) on the spot from the adjuster inspecting the vehicle. They never even wanted to see my title. I drove it for years after that. Yours isn’t quite the same as it is not really worth rebuilding but I believe with the aftermarket equipment documented you can get the value way up, and get a check so that you can move on.
We are waiting a buy back price, the adjuster says Monday.

We talked to an adjuster today who said the amount on our last quote still stands but USAA is waiting on a guaranteed bid....which is interesting for him to have said that, I have my assumptions as to what I think that means.

Don't know if it's been specifically said... but that's a really nice Disco.

I'm also either going to buy another one or not, either way, I'm parting this out.

Anyone know any decent white rover's for sale? Preferably 2001, 2002. I dont want to get into the 03-04 years.

Okay, so you can buy it back for $800, but what is the amount of the claim they will pay you, if you don't mind saying?

You know you can still sue her in small claims for thr difference in your cost of replacing the vehicle even if you settle with insurance

I dont even know who it is yet. The police wont tell me and they wont give me a police report until the investigation is done. Our insurance stated that once we settle with them we cant sue. I'll have to call an outside entity. I dont know if I want to sue...yes it sucks to be in this perdicament but with rovers all having the same engine issues and my ability to swap gaskets etc it's not hard for me to just find a nice one with bad gaskets and swap them in 2-3 days.

The utility workers came to fix the hydrant but it's worse than they thought. Thats been put on hold as well.

Filing a suit would likely be a wash or a loss... and good luck collecting even if you got a judgement.... you'd need facts on what it is worth and that's a hell of a burden to prove with no database and small numbers of comparables... a judge wants facts and isn't going to care about nostalgia... even if theybare a gearhead, they're duty is to judge with facts.

A 3900 dollar check and keeping it isn't terrible. I know you'd rather just have your rover back unharmed... but like I said before... you have an oppurtunity here.
