Default Lucky8 Bumper Lights

I'm shopping around for bumpers, I've been looking at the bumpers with the bull bars like Lucky8 or ARB. One of the things I think I want with my bumper are extra lighting, something to replace the fog lights from the factory. Driving on the back roads around here sometimes even the high beams leave me wanting a little more.

The Lucky8 bumper doesn't appear to have any light mounts by default. I was curious if anyone had mounting suggestions or examples of aux/fog lights on the Lucky8 bumper. Or any other suggestions I may be overlooking?

On my 99-02 ARB I cut out the lens area to fit Diode Dynamics 6" SAE fog light bars. I made up some brackets so they mount flush or super close, had to aim them a little more forward facing. Overall probably one of the favorite thing's I've done to my white disco.

For any aux lighting I believe you get what you pay for, I've gone through too many amazon lights that didn't last or output sucked. Those diode dynamics are incredible and then I have Baja Designs S2s on the side of my roof rack and one rear facing squadron sport (reverse/dust light). I'd love to put some Baja LP6s on the front of my bumper but they cost a lot and I have other items I need to address on the car before I spend that kind of coin. My buddy runs them on his GX and holy crap they are amazing though!

One thing you may be overlooking is headlight alignment. If you aren't seeing enough light with the brights on...

I had that issue then read a post by Best4x4 where he said he has to realign the headlights on nearly every rover he works on...

Sure enough a proper aiming fixed my issue... Turns out mine were aimed way high. Not sure if the lift did that or not, seems like it was a problem even before the lift.

I did it myself in a parking garage where I could park 30' from a wall and place tape targets on the wall at the appropriate height and width. I couldn't believe how far off they were.

I remember doing my headlights last year for that very reason. I've also considered the TuffRok headlight pods for my pre-facelift '01. I kinda like the classic look though.

whowa004, if you were to put the Baja LP6 on your bumper, where/how would you mount them? This is kind of what I'm struggling with. I suppose I could mount something like your Diode Dynamics light bar to the underneath of the bumper, or possibly just under the headlight.

I use tube mounts for lights on the brush bar and roof rack. They work great and are very reasonable, they also allow for you to choose a bit where things sit

My ARB has tabs welded to the lower hoop, I have two oldschool IPF spots on there now but they are more for looks as their output is kind of useless.
