Default M & S and D flashing

On my way to work this morning m & s and d started flashing, everything seemed ok except transmission went into limp mode. Parked my car turned it off and turned back on it wouldn't crank. Messed with the positive terminal on battery and car started up. Drove it around parking lot engaged every gear and all seems fine, would ya'll just go with the obvious battery issue or could it be more. I live in SC the car is a 2003 with 102,000. on it, never had this happen before. Just want to get some input.... Thanks

Tranny monitors voltage, does not like it when it gets low, which can be a combination of battery, bad terminals (clean, corrosion, etc.). Can be more than main battery terminals, there are also some big ones at front of under hood fuse box. If batterys is three years old, time for a new one. They'll test for free at most autoparts stores.

if you have a bad connection at the terminal yes that will cause your limp mode. clean those terminals, tighten them up and you should be good to go.

here is pix of underhood box. Some things bolt in, need to be tight and clean.
