More thank likely. Depends on how old it is and if it's holding a charge. Get it load tested and then check the voltage and check the alternator also to be on the safe side.

First check and clean the battery terminal posts and connectors. Then check/clean the ground locations. Make sure the terminals clamp down tightly on the posts and don't wiggle at all. The OEM connectors can lose their ability to maintain a grip over time. Charge the battery properly via a trickle charger if you can. Check alternator with a multimeter as lucky suggested. If that fails, then yeah I'd probably throw a new battery at it. If the battery is a few years old its probably not worth the $ or time to get it load tested. It's really hard to test a battery anyway... the only decent method is with a hydrometer and thats not cheap

So true Jeff. If you do in fact need a battery and have an interstate battery dealer around you, call them and see if they have a blemish battery. They usually keep they and they are usually only about $60 or so and they carry the same warranty as a regular one.

And if it's your battery terminals, Atlantic British has a kit to replace the positive cable with a new fitting since the original is prone to loosing a good connection. I believe it's about $100

Skip the AB kit. It's junk and overpriced.

I made a post of it awhile ago. Here
https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...rminals-79623/

Its a bit of a project. Need hydraulic crimpers, dual walled adhesive heatshrink, 2/0 welding cable (if you want to do the negative as well), marine lugs, and mil-spec battery terminal kit.

AB's kit are screw-on terminals. Crimps are much better. In fact there's really no comparing them in my opinion.
