RE: Magnacor Wires
First, i would suggest you go with the 8mm Magnacors not the 8.5's. The Rover won't benefit from the 8.5's and they cost quite a bit more.
What spark plug are you going to run with them, in the past lots of us used the Bosch Platium Plus 4's with the magnacor wires but Bosch now have their new Fusion plugs which are built like the plus 4's but use Iridium as an electrode giving even more spark and power.
As for the intake system, most take them off, some get around them, if you remove yours install a new gasket.

I guess the 8mm wires are the ones to go for then. As far as plugs go, I bought a set of the NGK Iridium IV plugs. What are your suggestions as far as upgrading the ignition coil? Or do they use coil packs? (I havn't really checked under there yet)
I'm off the pick a trany filter kit and start the 60K service. Got any tips or suggestions on what to look for? I did find a small oil leak up front that I want to have fixed since it's still under warranty but that's not a big concern right now. I'll be doing the trany, transfer case, and diffs today.
Wish me luck.

Well, after running back and forth all day from dealer to dealer looking for the o-rings from the filler plugs... I'M DONE!!! Well, just with the diffs and the transfer case. I just took it for a spin and its surprisingly much smoother than before. A few notes while doing this though:
1. The rear diff fluid was milky white and thick, almost like the white chocolate mocha syrup they use at Starbucks. - BARF!
2. The front was the exact opposite, looking almost like power steering fluid/oil
3. The transfer case was the only thing that looked like oil, but it smelled burnt.
4. I used Redline 75W90 gear oil which seemed to solve the "clunk" I'd sometimes hear.
I'll see what the trany is like tomorrow.
