All right this goes back to the Magnacore 8mm wires. Why the hell did the parts dude sell me 7mm wires? I don't really expect an answer there but am wondering if this may not be most of the problems with my 95 Disco I not running smooth, feeling sluggish, etc. Afraid to ask but is there a major difference between the performance of the 7mm's and the 8's? Thanks for the help, feel free to bust *****.

Stock wire size is 7mm. You will not notice any difference between the 8mm and the 7mm.
Have we adressed your rough running DI yet? If not start a new thread.

Hello Mike.. hope all is well. I'm new to the forum. How do you do the induction cleaning?

Also, I made the same changes with the platinum 4 and magnacore wires, but my Disco II has been running sluggish. At lower end gears it seems to have good power, but between 2nd to 4th gear it doesn't seem to give a fast response. ? What can I look for? The engine is running smooth.

Thanks, Any help is appreciated.

LRRForums Store - Magnecor Ignition Wires :: 8mm Magncecor Ignition Wire Set

is this a good price? I am looking to replace the wires and spark plugs for my disco series II 2002

If not can someone give me some links for 8mm wires and good spark plugs for this.

I've read about folks going with Kingsborne wires and liking them (and IIRC they run a bit cheaper in price than the Magnacores. I personally have 8mm Magnacores and have no complaints.

I'm a fan of Denso plugs. Though, the PO had put in Bosch Platinum +4s and they seemed to work fine (in spite of what you'll read on the forums). I was diagnosing a problem and pulled them out as part of that effort. Densos went in and are working fine too.

Kingsborne 8MM are 35$ and well worth the price. I've only had mine on for a short period of time but have not been disappointed.

Kingsborne wires are just as good as the Magnecore, but the Platinum+4 are a gamble. Some Land Rovers are fine with them while others will throw codes and warning lights.
