Magnecor wires
I actually have a couple of quick questions, so far everyone on here is incredible.
For my 2003 Discovery do I need Magnecor 7mm or 8mm wires.
I keep hearing about a Rave book that I must get can anyone tell me which one it is and where
and last but not least, I can do minor repairs, but Im needing to fix the three Amigos, change my wires cause the ones I have are crap, and replace my throttle body gasket are these three things a very new beginning novice can do. I have read all the step by step instructions on here and directions, are they for a novice to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1 more, plugs were changed 5 mos ago, along with the wires but the wires are very cheap ones and thats why im having problems, whould i just go an do the plugs to or are any plugs ok

Do a search for the RAVE, it is a electronic copy of the hard cover workshop manual.
Lots of guys have a link in their sig, just be warned it is big because it covers everything.
7mm is stock size plug wire, 8mm is what is preferred.
I dont think 1mm will get you any more of anything but for a extra $5 what the hell.

Reading the codes (which can only be done with a scanner that reads the ABS codes of a Discovery - so it's either a $200 ABS Amigo for just that purpose or a $3000+ scanner with the right software) which indicates where to start on repairs, and then to clear the codes.
Even if you did repair the problem without pulling the codes, you still need to clear them to get the lights to go out.
Ok, I've already had the codes read at the dealer, and they tell me that I need a new ABS Module, all three lights come on at any time, they seem to reset sometimes when I shut it off but they keep coming back. I can do the repair, then what your saying I need to bring it back to get everything clear by their scanner again to get the lights off for good.
Please excuse me for asking the questions, I'm still learning.

These and many others are in the "Write ups" and "How To" sticky at the top of the page.
