You have been bitchin about your LR since you joined the forum in 2007. Here is a quote from you from May, 2007 to someone who was asking about purchasing a Disco:

"RUN AWAY!! RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!

It's too late to save us but don't come any closer.

I would NEVER CONSIDER another Discovery or any other LR vehicle."

So, since we haven't heard from you in about 2 years, can we assume you haven't had any problems since then?

Or,

Don't drop it off at any random place for a "looks see" and then use the old "throw parts at it approach". That is never the best way to go. That is the lesson learned with any vehicle and you had the resources of the forum to guide you .. I'm sorry.

I typed out a full reply but your BB software works about as well as your vehicles, randomly.

The vehicle was properly maintained and all fluids were topped off. The hillbilly thinks that the thermostat stuck closed and boiled over the engine. I've never heard of such a thing happening on a normal vehicle, but this is no normal vehicle.

And, no, it's been one constant problem after another for two years. I come out here and just look up what to do to fix the latest problem. Or read the RAVE. I don't whine about it like some of you do with thousands of posts. The POS finally ate its own tail and I suppose in the long run that's for the better, at least it is for me.

You guys have fun with your toy "trucks" I'm going back to real cars and trucks.

I have heard of T-stats sticking several times. That is why they have safety stats that fail in the open position. People use the copper stop leak to seal leaks instead of fixing it right, well guess what? Sometimes it forms a ball on the bleed hole and won't let the t-stat open.. It happens. I am not saying that is what your problem was, but YOU killed the engine. YOU kept driving it. YOU fired it up again trying to diagnose before checking. YOU killed the engine.

You remind me of a girl I went to high school with. Daddy bought her a $45K 780 Bertone Volvo for her 16th B-day. After 2 years of driving, the top hose broke on the radiator. Oh look, smoke. It was hot out and she didn't want to walk, so she kept driving. I got the car for $1K. I have has the car for 20 years now and have never been stranded and it runs like a top. I would take it anywhere, just as I would my Discovery. Then again, I know how to fix stuff before it breaks AND NOT KEEP DRIVING THE VEHICLE.

Glad you are getting rid of your truck so you can take your negativity somewhere else.

PS, I will give you $100 for it..
