Default Meaning of 4 warning lights

Was driving on freeway when vehicle could not maintain constant speed- either bucked as if missing or surged for a few seconds. The hill descent and traction control lights came on solid and the manual and sport gearbox lights blinked. I got it off the highway, and at a light the engine died. It restarted, all the lights went off, but the engine ran rough. Is there anything specific this set of lights points to?

Hm... hill descent and traction control are ABS issues. i can't imagine them being related to a rough running engine.

the M and S lights blinking is usually related to battery or alternator issues. or transmission issues.

did you get a CEL? i would get the codes read and see if there is something pending if the CEL is not on.

Sorry, but what is a CEL? This is a 2004 SE7, by the way.

No CEL while this was happening, and once the car was restarted, no lights on at all.
