This means I don't have diff lock, right?
Yes, unfortunately you don't have diff lock. I had the same question on mine when I bought it. I don't have diff lock either. Or air suspension for that matter.
Do you have air suspension?
My Disco 2 is still rather capable off-road regardless of lacking these "extras".

But in all honesty, I maybe only get off-road twice a year and even then it's not exactly 4 feet deep mud ruts or 3 foot deep puddles. I've noticed that if I don't overestimate my vehicles capabilities, then she'll manage most situations just fine.
2 feet of water? No problem. 6 inches of snow? No problem. 40 degree inclines? No problem.
I do secretly wish my car had diff lock. But then I ask myself - how often would I honestly even use it? Probably hardly ever.
Batard. question: is your transfer box really hard to shift when the car is running? I tried to shift from H to L earlier today while in neutral and it really took a hard push. Like, not smooth at all. It gave a clunking noise too. Does yours do this? Is this normal?

I'm not sure whether they're slim or fat -- this is the car, although the rails are kind of hard to really see: https://i.imgur.com/Z0hdc3g.jpg. It's a 2004 petrol automatic.
Slim, its an 03'
I don't get it. Registration documents and VIN records say it's a 2004 model. Am I missing something here? Here's the VIN results:

Im away and just read this post and worried if my 2004 does not have a CDL. I have a 2003 which does not have and I am sure with that. Since I just got a 2004, I have not tested all its equipment. I thought all 2004 has a center differential lock. I had to text my son to check and confirm it to me.
