Atlantic British has a video about how to remove the engine. It's a big job, especially if you have never done anything like that. Remanufactured engines, or long blocks (with heads), or short blocks (without heads) can be expensive. Crate motors from a scrap yard are less, but no guarantee. What's your budget?

I am trying to spend the least money possible. But if I can eventually afford fixing it, it would be a max of around $1000 since that was the price of the cheapest block and head I could find. Is it possible for me to take the cylinders and stuff out and put it in a new block? I definitely wont be able to afford getting a new or remanufactured engine.
Your best bet may be to find someone parting out a rusted chassis D2 or P38 Range Rover and buying the running used engine. You'll have to search pretty wide and far to keep it in that budget.
A Rover is not something that "cheap" usually works well with but good luck!
Slipped liner, look at the top of that piston...clean as a whistle. Super heated steam (from the overheat) and extremely hot anti-freeze probably caused that channel.

Weird part is...to me...that head gasket looks relatively new. Does it looks as though this engine has been a part before, especially recently?
Engine is toast. Used one's pop up every now and then. Check the market place on this site, thought someone had a Dll they were parting...that had a good motor.

too bad!! engine toast. I just gave away a 4.6 good block (all bottom end parts in place when I gave it to them ~130000 miles on block, liners a bit worn) to junk yard (it's a range rover block in a black 2001 disco 2) . Fosnaught Auto Canton ohio....330 494 1251
but honestly, you will not get this repair done for less than at least 2500$.... if this is your first time, you will need the block, tools, and engine hoist, and a bunch of new parts. Might be better making this your spare parts truck and finding another.....
Where are you located? I have a couple blocks in varying degrees of usefulness. As already mentioned however, this is a pretty big job and you will need a somewhat extensive collection of tools and a reasonable amount of space to accomplish this. The good news is that it's not extremely complex, these are simple engines to work on and parts are pretty cheap. You'll want to make sure the frame is worth investing the effort into first. Rust is not typically a big problem on the rest of the truck, but the frame is the Achilles heel.
Not sure where you are but there's someone with a 4.0 P38 they're trying to unload for 1k up in the Portland area - it has a good engine and actually under 100K miles apparently. Search craigslist and FB marketplace. It has a really nice dark brown interior.
