Default Miserable Gas Mileage and Cold Engine Idle issues!

Hey Everyone,
I have a Disco I with 102,000 miles on it, I keep reading about people getting 17.8 miles per gallon, or even 250 miles a tank or better. Currently I have been getting around 210-220 on a full tank of premium as well as having an interesting idle problem when I start my car on cold days. I did some research on the site and put seafoam in my gas tank and oil tank to start the cleaning process and think my idle issue is due to a dirty MAF sensor area, I know not to clean the sensor but what else can I clean. Additionally, where is the vacuum line on the 3.9 to slowly add the seafoam into to clean the carb? Finally is there anything else that I can do to improve my gas mileage, I have changed the oil, installed a K&N air filter and I keep my tyre pressure perfect??

Thank You

Paul Smith
