Probably a build list, Porsche does the same thing on the trunk. I bet you could have one reprinted if you were so inclined.

I was curious too so I looked at every 03-04 disco on BAT. Most barely had a picture of that part of the hood. The ones that did (only a handful), it was severely faded or falling off, even on the low mile trucks. It seems to be paper-like so it certainly didn't last long under there. I remember one of my 04s still had a manufacturing label on the frame that I barely see on most. It looked like an award medal/ribbon. It was on the passenger side. Anyway, I tried to look at the parts manual for labels and it wasn't too helpful because most of the labels look hand-drawn and they are in black & white. The hood label on the ones I did see looks to be yellow or orange.

Maybe someone here still has it and can decipher some of what it says.

Thank everyone. I know it's OCD about the sticker but I've been working this truck back into shape for 6 years and like the details it left the factory with.

You’re not alone. I’m trying to do that with my current truck since it came out of LRSV.

Dude, no, haha, I totally get it. I'm the same way. I'm all about making these discos as stock and original as they reasonably can be. Keep up the good work!
