Well, i dont do many things to my truck. I usually always take it to a shop. Im not very mechanically inclined. But, when my water pump failed and the shop quoted me $800 to replace it, I figured I would try and tackle it myself. Following all of the information that you guys have posted on here I did it exactly as described in the postings on here and it worked out perfectly. Worst thing was removing that pesky gasket! While I was working on it I decided to clean it up a little since there was grease and grime everywhere. While doing this I came across a missing drain plug right by the oil filter. Im pretty sure it has something to do with the oil as it appears to be in the same pan as the rear oil drain plug? Could someone please tell me if the oil pan has two drains? or what in the hect this front plug is for? Should I not be driving the vehicle until i get this plug? As I rarely do any of my vehicle maintenance Im not even sure how long it has been missing.

Lol, so I souldnt worry about it or find a plug? Seems a little weird to me.
