Yes, you can top off with anythig you want, I top off with Wal-Mart full synthetic.

I like it a lot so far and it is also for recommended for flat tappet engines and high temp applications. It's too thick for the winter here though so I will change over to something thinner have not decided what yet but probably the Mobile 1 5W-30 extended.
