Default Missing zerk on drive shaft

I just finished lubing my front drive shaft for the first time and noticed the zerk on the slip shaft is missing.

The other three on the u-joints are nice and secure. What's the best way to clean the dirt from in and around the hole, and replace the zerk?

Zerk was never there. it has a plug right now that you need to remove with an allen key and then put a zerk in and lube ( unless the plug was taken out). Why ???? only one logical answer.....Land Rover!

The zerk was there after getting the d/s rebuilt. Are these plugs readily available? I don't remember seeing any with the zerks I found at Kragen. Another club member (who also has the plug) thought there was a possibility the zerk got knocked off by the cat. Even though there's not a whole lot of room, I would think a zerk wouldn't have clearance issues.

Yes they are readly available. All you need is to take a wrench and srew it in. If the orgininal wasnt in tight enough it could fall out, or if the clearance is close enough when the frame flex's and things move around it could knock the zerk out or break it off.
