Default Grease zerk in font shaft

Was just under the truck going to drain the tranny, but got distracted by the front drive shaft. I noticed the front joint has 1 zerk on the differential end. But I don't see any at the tranny end. Was this common to only have grease zerks at one end?

Wont have any zerks on the ujoints if stock. Will have a plug in the side of the spline. I replaced it with a zerk. If you rebuild, use Neapco with zerks. Don't forget to replace the centering ball also.

You will be wanting to review this how to for the U joints. Propshaft Rebuild - Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum

When (not if) they fail, they split and pierce a big hole in the tranny case. Dealers like this. It is a whopping replacement of a tranny. This is a rite of passage for D2 owners. Can DIY, and remove and take to driveline shop, etc.

Thanks guys. I think I am just going to order a Tom woods and call it a day. Until I move ( 1-3 months, damn slow contractor) i Don't have all my tools. So a rebuild from me is not going to happen.
