Default More Engine Codes All Cylinders Misfire

So yesterday I had a code for a misfire on cylinder 7. This morning started Rover erased codes and started over. It would barley idle and would eventually stall. No check engine light. Checked pending codes, oh no, misfires on all cylinders detected. I had an indie shop change all my lifters 2 days ago. Now this. They are gone for a long weekend and I'm stuck. Can I drive it like this or will it damage anything? Don't know what would cause misfires on all cylinders. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. Beginning to think I made a big mistake buying this. Please help?

I wanted to add one thing. When I up the rpm to about 2000 it runs smooth. Any ideas I really need to know whether or I not I can drive it. Without a vehicle right now!

Can you drive it? Around the block, probably; all over town, I would not.

Did it run fine before and right after the lifter work? To change the lifters, you have to tear into all of the delivery systems, air, fuel, and spark. Since is is on all cylinders, sounds like something did not get reassembled properly. Could have switched plug or injector wires, or maybe the coil packs were not attached to the blocks very well and have a bad ground (I think this causes issues with some coils, not sure about the Bosch engines). Could also be a vacuum leak between the MAF and the manifold.

You say they are gone but I would really try to get someone from the shop on the phone.

Yes, it ran fine except for the ticking lifter noise. That is gone, but now misfires on all cylinders. Shop is closed until Monday. I was just hoping for a quick fix to be able to use it the next four days. I have checked the obvious, plug wires tight, MAF looks good. Everything seems okay. Must agree when they did lifters something got screwed up on reassemble. Just seems odd that have misfire codes P0301-P0308. Should be something obvious.

As mentioned, check that coil packs are bolted down, 4-8mm bolts. Techs get lazy and don't secure them.

guessing they are bouncing around that's why they are just now giving you problems.
