Motor swap question

Motor swap question
I have an 02 with the 4.0. Can I swap to a 4.6 with relative ease? Ie will it fit the mounts, trans and transfer case. Would the key still work? Are there any other motors that can fit- ie ford/gm.
My head gasket blew and the motors overheated a few times, so I'm bracing for the worst case. As long as the block didn't crack, can it b machined if it warped?
Any luck with crate motors? I haven't seem a whole lot of reassuring threads. Just looking at all options.
Thanks in advance

Easy plug and play with no changes needing to be made.
Might want to inspect both the donor engines rear main and the tranny front pump seal and replace if needed.
How many miles are on your truck, has your radiator ever been replaced, if not, might want to buy a new one, British Parts of Utah, has a great price on made in Scottland, I just bought one a couple weeks ago.
Replace the t/stat switching to a 180 degree soft spring and go green on the coolant.

MOST 4.6L (but not all) from a Disco are going to be SAI. If it came from a Ranger Rover, it might be easier to find one without SAI. If your truck is SAI, you should be good to go. If it is not, just plug the holes on the new 4.6L.
