Murphy's Law with wipers. Did find an alternative though.
So after trying to figure out which direction I would go with wipers (D1 arms, Rain-X Wiper Mod, etc) the past couple days, I was out today and the one that has been on the way out just totally self destructed. Sure enough... if I had not mentioned them they would have gone for another year!
So, being my two choices were take off a sock and put it over the bad wiper to avoid scratches, or try to find something that works I went with option 2.
Luckily, all the major auto places were right around... and plan C would be to go another 10 miles over to the LR dealership. Stopped at Auto Zone, and although very helpful trying to find a solution, nothing would work (I was looking for the refills as well, but they didn't have them). 2nd stop was Advance Auto. Walked in with the wiper, and they carried universal refills. I figured I was lucky, and he insisted they had something that would work. I would have bet on "no", but we walk over to the rack and he pulls out these Tri-Co Exact Fit ones. I look at the back, and sure enough... exact match. As for the price... most likely the same cost at the LR dealer, and you could surely get the set for AB or others cheaper shipped. These were $23 a pop. I figured screw it though as I needed it, and got the front ones. They work perfect... and if I get some time out of them then great. But, if you are ever in a pinch and need a wiper...at least you know you have a choice! Plus, when Advance (or others who might carry them) have a sale you could always get them then.
