Default mushy brake pedal

Is this the "shuttle valve" problem? Rover did some work on a "overlay harness" and I'm not sure if this is related to the Shuttle valve or the "wheel sensor?"

The pedal felt great on the vehicle after I got it from Rover and then a few months later the lights came on and the pedal went mushy.

Aftermarket brake kit on the vehicle btw...

Thanks guys!

Start with a full 2 quarts brake bleed, that will usually fix it. If you want even better brake pressure, replace the old rubber brake lines first with new stainless steel line, the combination of the two will be a great change.

Mike, do I need a special machine for my 02' disco to bleed the system?

Thanks,
Ryan

BTW, how's Colorado? 80 and sunny here in Chandler.

I would suggest the old 2 man method. starting with the furthest away, making your way closer. Keep pumping until new fluid comes out.(and drain the master with a turkey baster and fill with new fluid first). I have heard of too many people using power bleeders and them not working right.

No, nothing special is needed as far as the ABS goes, just do as suggested above, make sure you buy 2 quarts of brake fluid.
