That's a bummer.
Caught this one just in time, and I'm glad I did. This new one is now my truck's 3rd driveshaft in 126k miles - the original ejected itself under previous ownership at low speeds and put a nice crack in the transmission case and dented in the pan (the resulting fluid loss is both how I got the truck so cheap, and continued fluid loss and poor shifting from being run low is why I want to R380- and CDL-swap it in the future). It also took out the exhaust (I presume, judging by lack of rust in the Y pipe), and chewed up some of the floor.

So, I'm considering selling my truck since it sees such infrequent use. Approximately how much would it be worth if I were to sell it?

In addition to the camper conversion, in the last 10k miles, it's received:
- Terrafirma 2 in medium duty lift
- Terrafirma front shock towers
- New Kanati Trail Hog tires
- Steel front bumper with currently non-functional Badlands ZXR12000 winch
- New XYZ switch
- New Interstate battery
- New transmission filter
- New oil pump and front cover
- New water pump, radiator, 180 tstat, all new coolant hoses and lines, new expansion tank, new overflow cap
- New head gaskets
- New valve cover gaskets, oil sump gaskets, pickup tube o ring, valley and manifold gaskets, etc
- New lifters
- New front driveshaft
- New timing chain/sprockets
- Probably tons of other things I'm forgetting

Issues:
- Deleted SAI - makes it easier to work on, but a problem if a buyer lived in an emissions state
- Rear bumper is cracked and one corner is basically destroyed
- Transmission case is cracked from the front driveshaft letting go under previous ownership. The transmission still shifts ok, and I've JB Welded the crack as best I can to slow fluid leaking. It still leaks a bit though, so I add a little bit of fluid every oil change.

Having a difficult time finding comps online - every D2 I've seen for sale lately is either perfect or complete garbage
All input appreciated (including how much of a moron I am for thinking about selling it). Thanks

Three key factors determine D2 value:
1. Mileage, as this is the only thing that cannot be changed or repaired by law. If you are only at 125k, I would say your rig should sell for north of $7k
2. Frame condition - although technically repairable and replaceable practically it is almost impossible to find a shop to do it for anything approaching a reasonable price. What condition is yours in?
3. Paint - easily the most expensive thing to replace, paint cost have soared in recent years, what kind of shape is yours in?

Beyond that, modified vehicles can be tricky, and one that needs work, any significant work like a new tranmission knocks a lot of value off. I would value yours around 10-12k and then know off off about $2k for the transmission issue. I would recommend you have someone swap in a low mile transmission then you do not have to sell as "needing work". Go ahead and put a ebay steel rear bumper on it to, and you could expect around $12k+ on BAT.

1. Currently at 127k and change
2. The constant oil leaks throughout the life of the truck mean the frame is in great shape, with only surface rust present. The only spot on the truck with anything approaching significant rust is a spot in the left rear door jamb, oddly enough.
3. There's some pinstripe scratches from wheeling on tight wooded trails, and there's a 10" round section on the roof aft of the rear sunroof where some paint came off somehow, with surface rust in its place. There are a few other scratches on the tail end of the roof, but other than those issues it's quite nice.

I'd have no issue replacing the trans myself, but last time I looked, I couldn't find a good used unit for a reasonable price. Seems like transmission availability has dried up in the last couple years.
eBay rear bumper is a good call - they seem to be hovering around $350-380 right now, which is cheaper than I expected.
Do you think no SAI would have any impact? I still have the pump and crossover tube, but mangled the metal pipes that go to the exhaust when I did the head gaskets and they're stupid money to replace

The pinstripes will buff out if you want to go to that work, I paid $1200 to have a roof repainted due to a similar issue. If you leave it as is I would knock another $2k off the price I mentioned earlier for the next owner to deal with it.

Quick update since it's been a few months.

So this thing has been parked for the last few months or so. Somehow, the thing blew a brake line sitting in the garage, so I need to find a solution for (and the time to fix) that.

Also started installing an aftermarket single DIN head unit to get Bluetooth and phone capability (and get rid of the horrible, treble-and-subbass-only factory sound profile), but the wonky factory head unit and amp integration means I'm just going to run new wire to all 4 doors and call it a day.

Fwiw, I got a new headunit from Crutchfield and got their wiring harness. Made it very simple to hook up the stereo. Now I just need to replace the worn-out speakers, especially the subs in the rear door

The problem with the harness adaptor is that it runs everything to the factory amp, which I don't think works that well. The EQ is all screwed up - there's absolutely no mids from the front speakers, and everything is either intense treble or sub-bass at a much lower volume (and it no longer has subs, since I took them out to make room for camper-related stuff. I listen to mostly podcasts, so just having a basic setup that works without killing my ears with aggressive amounts of treble and has Bluetooth is the goal for me.

Want to get this thing back on the road, so I finally got a chance to pick this thing up and take a look at the brake lines. It's not very pretty.

Blew the line going to the rear behind the left rear wheel, and the factory connections are looking pretty rough as well. What thread pitch and flare do these lines use? Going to run down to the parts store and get some of that NiCop stuff and redo every line that looks sketchy

Just did all mine (along frame and side to side), I'm in NJ so lines have a death sentence haha. I can see if I have the packages of the fittings I used. Doing the longer hoses next.
