You can get an LR3 or an LR4 or a Mercedes GLK350 diesel with 4 wheel drive.
The Mercedes will get twice the MPG or KM/L

But the Mercedes will not be able to do what the Land Rover does as well.
But you can still run over curbs with a 4 WD Mercedes to avoid traffic.

I would get a used Mercedes 4 wheel drive or a newer Land Rover.
Sorry though to see your truck go.
I still wonder what happened to my 2001 that I fixed in the parking lot in Boulder CO in 2012 or so. It was a lot of fun.

 

Here is my video when I finally had the engine running after the cylinder head gaskets were replaced and I cleaned it up all nice.
