Hot outside today in the South, Disco doing fine (75 mph)

 

Color me confused, I installed a 180 F thermostat. Bleed the system over and over and here the weird thing, my driving temp is now higher than before but my idle temp is lower….

anyone have any light they can shed? Thanks

 

Assume you have a factory style plastic thermostat?

I have bought and others specially from lucky 8 thermostats that are suppose to be 180 but they are not. More like 190.
im talking about the oem garbage

get rid of that plastic thermostat crap
