Default Mysterious plastic hose needs to be identified

While lying on top of my D2 engine for replacing plug wires, I discovered an unconnecting plastic hose near the driver side firewall. See photos. Can someone please identify what and where this plastic hose goes to.
Thank you

Answering again for the umpteenth time in this forum - It's a vent/breather line. It's supposed to be open. There should be three of them - one from the transmission, one from the front differential/axle, and one from the transfer case.

Thank you. You do create one more good karma for yourself every time you help resolving another member on this forum for the same question.
I am curious .. where are the other two vent lines located? I think I will do a search on this forum for them. Thanks again

They are on the passenger side of the engine behind the head. They should be zip tied to the lift ring from the factory. Many times they are not secured from previous work and they melt against the exhaust manifold causing leaks in the transfer case and transmission.

Had my transfer case breather come off the firewall on my D1 - melted closed on the exhaust manifold - caused pressure blew all the gear olil out and t-case self destructed on the highway
