Found this in my driveway last weekend after the snow melted. It was off to the side under a mobile pitching mound I built for my son. Not 100% sure it came off my Rover. I did a quick check underneath and nothing looks awry. Car operates fine. Bolt is 15/16" or 20mm? My socket set goes from 19 to 21mm. Not sure if 20mm is even a thing. its grade 8 so pretty serious. Not sure what the little triangle means. Look familiar to anyone?

Edit - I meant 13/16" not 15/16"

 

The triangle mark indicates it's a close tolerance bolt. So there's that bit of information to put in the back of your brain!

 

Bellhousing bolt?

 

I haven't had the bell housing off but this is way bigger than the housing bolts I have seen. I'm thinking it might be from something else not Rover related. I used to play with BMW 2002's years ago and still have some random hardware/parts in the garage from that era. That's my other guess. But those would be metric. Hmmm.

 

Doesn't look like it's ever been used, threads are new-ish. Can't think of anything on a Dll that has a bolt like that, beside rear hitch.

Yea, I am thinking hitch too. I have a bike rack, extender and had some random hitch hardware I think this was part of.
